Recycle Toner Cartridges to Reduce Electronic
Waste
The Basil Action Network(BAN) and Silicon Valley
Toxics Coalition release and environmental investigation revealing
that huge quanities of hazardous electronic waste (E-Waste) are being
exported to China, Pakistan and India where they are processed in operations
that are extremely harmful to human health and the environment.
BAN recommends that consumers purchase products that
utilize some of the emerging technologies that reduces E-Waste, such as
remanufacturered laser printer toner cartridges. For over ten years, Laser
Lightning, LLC has remanufactured tens of thousands of toner cartridges for
their customers and reduced E-Waste by recycling spent toner
cartridges.
The entire BAN report, "Exporting Harm, The High -
Tech Trashing of Asia", press releases and photos may be found at the web site,
http://www.ban.org/main/campaigns.html.
